Guild volunteers participated in Red Shoe Day on June 20, 2019 to support Ronald McDonald House. Nearly forty employees volunteered for the event (seventeen employees manned Balboa and twenty-two employees manned Clairemont.)
Ronald McDonald House Charities of San Diego provides a “home-away-from-home” for families with children being treated for serious, often life-threatening, conditions at local hospitals.
We raised online donations prior to the event and, on the day of the event, the teams met in our Red Shoe outfits, signs and shoes to solicit donations. People driving through these intersections showed their support by making a donation or honking.
As of June 20th, Ronald McDonald house raised over $36,000 from online donations, with additional funds raised on the streets.
We are proud to announce that Guild is considered one of Red Shoe’s top online fundraising teams.
