Guild Giving is helping to empower first-time homebuyers through MyPath2Own, a program designed to help those who don’t currently qualify for a mortgage to become mortgage-ready. MyPath2Own provides homebuyer education and up to $4,000 in down payment/closing cost assistance for those who complete the program and qualify for a mortgage.

This education-based path to homeownership is administered by eHome America, an online homebuyer education non-profit and HUD-approved counseling agency.

Donations to MyPath2Own go to Community Ventures, the financial arm of eHome America, and are distributed as closing cost or down payment assistance to homebuyers who complete the program and qualify for a mortgage. Once a homebuyer becomes mortgage-ready through MyPath2Own, they’ll be prepared to afford homeownership and earn equity, building generational wealth and strengthening communities for years to come.
